There are plenty of great blackjack movies out there, but which ones are the best? Here are our top picks:
1. 21 (2008)
This movie follows the story of a group of MIT students who use their card counting skills to beat the casinos in Las Vegas. While the movie does take some liberties with the true story, it’s still an enjoyable watch.
2. The Hangover (2009)
This comedy features a scene where one of the characters tries to win back his money by playing blackjack. While it’s not the focus of the movie, it’s a hilarious scene that any blackjack fan will enjoy.
3. Rain Man (1988)
This classic film stars Tom Cruise and Dustin Hoffman. Hoffman’s character is an autistic savant who is able to count cards at the casino. While the movie is more about the relationship between the two brothers, the blackjack scenes are definitely memorable.
4. Casino Royale (2006)
The most recent James Bond movie features a few different gambling scenes, including one where Bond takes on Le Chiffre in a high-stakes game of blackjack. If you’re a fan of action movies, this one is definitely worth checking out.
5. The Cooler (2003)
This movie is set in Las Vegas and features William H. Macy as a man with bad luck who ends up working at a casino. While he’s there, he starts using his skills to win at blackjack. While the movie isn’t perfect, it’s definitely worth watching for any blackjack fans.
